Wedding Photography: Connecticut Coast

Just by chance our second batch of wedding photography comes from another not-so-real wedding (they’re on their way, I promise!), but we simply couldn’t keep these beautiful inspiration shots from the mega talented Amy Fanton taken in Connecticut this past summer to ourselves. We love Amy’s style and taste, and we think she married Pantone’s 2016 Colour’s of the Year beautifully with these blush and light blue tones, and can we just talk about the juxtaposition of the floaty skirt of this gorgeous gown against the waves lapping behind for a second? Talk about stunning! As you can probably tell, we’re massive fans of Amy’s photography work, she shot the images in our Venice Elegance feature too. We would definitely recommend her to anyone who is on the hunt for understated yet elegant images to remember their special day by.

Once you have chosen your venue, go back and take your photographer with you if you can. You can begin to map out where you want your photos, and a little pre-planning can help relieve stress on the day itself. You will already have an idea of the lighting available, the setting and the spots to head straight to so you can spend less time posing for photographs and more time enjoying the day. Perhaps ask your photographer to take some test shots while you’re there so you can work together to figure out which spots will work best for the style of photos you want, and it will also be a great opportunity for your photographer to be made aware of any extra equipment they may need to make your chosen location deliver the photos you dream of.
