Real Wedding: A Mixed Faith Celebration

I am so excited to be bringing you another beautiful real wedding and even more excited that this one doesn’t include just one beautiful wedding dress, but two! No, I’m not talking a formal ceremony dress and a reception alternative to dance the night away, oh no… Krishna and Andrew’s gorgeous wedding featured both a Hindu and English ceremony which gave Caron Saunders, the couple’s photographer the opportunity to capture some of the most gorgeous wedding photography I think I have ever seen.

Here I share with you my pick of her gorgeous photos, but first I’ll hand you over to Caron to introduce herself and tell you a little more about the big day…

Hi, I am Caron Saunders, a female photographer who loves weddings.  I am based in Hertfordshire but have photographed weddings all over the world, even Texas! The photos you see here shows you Krishna and Andrew’s wedding at Sopwell House Hotel which I shot in November 2016. The couple wanted a wedding photographer to capture two ceremonies, a Hindu one and an English civil ceremony, which meant two getting ready sessions, two ceremonies, two ‘just the two of us’ moments then one lavish reception, topped off with fireworks and lots of dancing. I hadn’t covered a Hindu wedding before so I was happy to photograph the event, I knew it would be interesting, colourful and extremely photographic!

[Cont.] The bride had two absolutely beautiful dresses, one for each ceremony and both very different from each other.  There were lots of bright colours at the Hindu ceremony and Krishna made for a truly stunning bride. Krishna’s make up artist was responsible for her looks at both ceremonies and did an absolutely amazing job – she looked fantastic. I was in good company at the wedding with Roger Lowe from Diamond Films as the videographer, and after the Hindu ceremony it was time to take some photographs of Krishna and Andrew in the grounds of Sopwell, and with it being a particularly cold day hats off to the bride and groom for doing so well in the freezing temperatures!

Once the photographs had been taken it was time to begin the English ceremony for which Krishna’s hair and make up were changed, and after the ceremony it was time to capture some more photos of the couple in their second outfit of the day. Krishna and Andrew had the most beautiful fireworks display and with only five minutes to capture the event I am relieved I managed to capture some shots of the couple to remember the special part of their big day to look back on for years to come. All in all, it was a beautiful day that I was very fortunate to be a part of.
